The Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) is a citation index produced since 2015 by Thomson Reuters and now by Clarivate. According to the publisher, the index includes "peer-reviewed publications of regional importance and in emerging scientific fields" (1). Journals in ESCI have passed an initial editorial evaluation and can continue to be considered for inclusion in products such as SCIE, SSCI, and AHCI (1). All ESCI journals are indexed according to the same data standards, including cover-to-cover indexing, cited reference indexing, subject category assignment, and indexing all authors and addresses (1).

To acknowledge the reviewers for their outstanding contributions to the peer review process, we highlighted some of them with a brief interview of their thoughts and insights as a reviewer from 2023 (Figure 7). Apart from the reviewers, we interviewed some of our outstanding authors who have been making immense efforts in their research fields (Figure 8).

We can’t achieve this without the continuous support and contributions of JHMHP’s editorial board members, guest editors, authors, reviewers, and readers. We here would like to extend our sincere gratitude to all the contributors. We will keep striving to publish high-quality articles and bring JHMHP to the forefront.
