Seth Podolsky, MD, MS, is a Principal at 3Aim Partners. He has 25 years of success inspiring teams and improving performance through people-focused leadership. A seasoned health care executive with the ability to balance strategic decisions and financial discipline with a hands-on approach to leadership – resulting in strong employee, patient, and physician satisfaction. Engaging communicator and relationship builder with expertise in strategic planning, contract negotiations, multimillion-dollar capital projects, team development, and growth strategies. Interested in using business principles to improve systems of care, clinical outcomes and operational efficiencies within large health systems. Academic accomplishments include nearly 60 published manuscripts, abstracts, and book chapters, as well as multiple media appearances and press mentions.
Dr. Podolsky previously served as the Chief Medical Officer for Ambulatory and Integration in the Banner Health System in Phoenix, AZ. In that role, he had clinical system oversight for Ambulatory Surgical Centers, Urgent Care Centers, Outpatient Imaging, Pharmacy, Occupational Health, Post-Acute Care, Home Care, Hospice and Palliative Care, Transfer Services, TeleHealth, and outpatient business development.
Dr. Podolsky previously worked at the Cleveland Clinic Health System as the Medical Director for International Business Development, as well as a Medical Director for Enterprise Hospital Operations. He is the former Vice-Chair of the Emergency Services Institute, where his team successfully integrated nineteen Emergency Departments in Northeast Ohio and Florida. He served as an elected member on the Cleveland Clinic Board of Governors and Medical Executive Committee, and was also a member of the Enterprise Corporate Compliance Committee, Emergency Management Committee and the Medical & Surgical Operations Committee.
Dr. Podolsky has a keen interest in using business principles to improve systems of care, clinical outcomes and operational excellence. He received his Medical Degree from the University of Vermont and his Master's Degree at The Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice at Dartmouth College. He completed his residency training at multiple hospitals in New York City and is a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians. He is an Emeritus Trustee on the Board of Trustees for the University of Vermont. In 2018, he was honored with the American College of Emergency Physician’s (ACEP) “Outstanding Speaker Award.”
