Dr. Yunfeng Shi is an Assistant Professor of Health Policy and Administration and a research affiliate of the Health Care and Policy Research in the College of Health and Human Development at The Pennsylvania State University.
With close to 10 years of experience as a health services researcher, Dr. Shi studies the role of technology and information in healthcare market, as well as the impacts of healthcare policies on consumers and organizations. Dr. Shi has been investigators on several major projects, including the evaluation of the Aligning Forces for Quality program, funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the RAND Center of Excellence on Health System Performance, funded by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality.
Dr. Shi has published more than 30 articles, book chapters and reports. He recently served on an expert panel at the Health Care Ratings Summit hosted by the Leapfrog group. His studies have made important contributions to the literature of quality measurement and reporting. Several of his ongoing projects focus on the uses of Health Information Technology in the ambulatory care.
