Rei Goto, MD, PhD

Dr. Rei Goto is an associate professor of health economics and health policy at the Graduate School of Business Administration, Keio University, Japan. He received his MD from Kyoto University, Japan. After two year’s residencies in medicine at Kobe City General Hospital, he started research in health economics. He received his PhD in Economics from Kyoto University in 2005.
His research areas include health economics, behavioral economics (addiction, measurement of time and risk preference parameters, preventive behavior, prescription and treatment choice of physicians) and health technology assessments. He serves as a board member for the Japanese Health Economics Association (JHEA).
